Tulip Study started with six photos as a requirement for second semester Black and White Photography at the University of Washington.
I found that I enjoyed the variety of ways I could photograph flowers and it surprised me that something we treasure because of their bright colors, could also have a dimension of beauty without color.
I have continued to shoot tulips in the spring and in finding new ways to view them.
For those who believe that flowers should be photographed in color, please see this study through to the end.
